Ready to entertain you!

Thankfully, the country has started to get itself back to some type of normality. Knockout Challenge has been working away behind the scenes preparing and adapting for the future. Our nation is slowly seeing the crisis decrease and subsequently there has been the allowing of a form of normality for many.

Staff training and more.

During this time our staff have undertaken training in Covid-19 and also the prevention of the spreading of deceases training. Also, we have been researching the various methods of sanitisation and processes we would need to adopt as the guidance suggests.

Many followers of Knockout Challenge will know that its owner Phil Pike, sits on the Amusement Device Safety Council (ADSC). This has relevance to our It’s A Knockout games. The inflatables we use for our games come under the guidance of HSG175 which theme parks and travelling fairs use.

Covid secure games

For reference, various taskforces were set up by the government to initiate how the lockdown could be eased in different sectors whilst also being Covid secure. As an example, the Department of Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) taskforce looked after theme parks. However, the specific guidance for travelling fairs including inflatables was missing from this.

Phil Pike joined a cross-association initiative to write the Covid Guidance for Travelling Fairs. This involved dealing with the Health & Safety Executive who are the enforcing body for non-compliance.

Deep Clean, Periodic Clean, Sanitisation.

Therefore, at Knockout Challenge we have the full idea of the virus, and what steps are needed to be able to operate inflatables (and therefore our games) in the covid climate. We have created a Covid Risk Management document for our clients which outlines procedures and protocols. In 2022, this document is now in a Version 7.

September & Beyond.

At present the likes of schools, colleges & universities have the greatest freedom in the ability to use our games (they’re ideal for Freshers Week !). With the social distancing rule being scrapped for them, we have already had many enquiries for such days in September.
